Sometimes I am afflicted with the should have saids.  And sometimes I can move on to life as usual, which at this time, does not include retirement.

When you get the phone call

From the new local chiropractor

And he says

To all of the retired people

In the community,

Do you wonder whether AARP

Has sold that list

Which begins

at fifty?

Do you think to say

You just learned in school

Erikson*s generative stage

Has been moved to 65?

Do you speak of unpaid internship hours?

Do you advise him

This may not be the best way to advertise

His practice?

Or do you simply say

No thank you

Then answer the text

From your fifteen year old daughter.
