Another inch of rhubarb

Has emerged

Red and odd

Somewhat reminiscent

Of another world

Underground

While the grass sings

Its usual green.

Nothing is scheduled today

Except my daughter

Needs the car for work

After school.

I am home thinking

Of melting snow

Crowning rhubarb

Usual grass
