I am hung up on poetry being accessible. I know accessibility is probably in the mind and heart of the reader.

Who write indecipherable

Poems.

They are often

Credited

In the annals

Of the Library of Congress

Or even beyond.

The poems

Do not echo

Anyone else’s

Experience.

I wish I understood

The accolades.

Alas

I do not.

Perhaps

I am not

Anyone else.
