Squirrel watching in the yard
Squirrels begin to dig
For nuts
They may have buried
Over the summer.
They don’t remember
Exact spots
But surely
They must be here
Somewhere.
Meanwhile
They eat crab apples,
Apples rest
On the surface,
Easily found.
