It didn't occur to me that this hinges on yesterday's reflection, until I got to the end. Where's the bread? What's a companion? Who will walk with us, and who will stand at the door and wave farewell?

One at a time,
Those who see
What I am getting at,
Those who hope to see
What I am
Getting at,
Even those who ask me
So what?
When I threaten
To stay stuck.
Oh yes
And even those
Who wave farewell
As I walk out the door.
