Next week sees physical therapy.
Throughout everything
The kitten brings me
Her reindeer mitten,
A relic from
My daughter’s childhood.
I throw it.
She brings it back,
Expectantly.
I throw it again.
I am home
Gradually.
Here comes the mitten
Again.
