Today is a day to make a list for winter clean-up, maybe even summer possibilities. Today the snow has mostly melted. If my daughter makes it back in time from the dyeing of the Chicago River, we will get our toenails done. If not, we won't.

Today the plan is

To begin to reassemble

The back yard;

To clip back all

I did not clip back

In the fall;

To re-stake the now fallen

Pink flamingos

Next to the crab apple.

I watch the cat

Drowse in the sun.

I drink the remains

Of yesterday’s coffee

In the dinosaur mug.

I order seeds

For a butterfly garden.
