How do you tell when you*ve had a good nap?  I figure waking up with sweet corn on my mind is a sign.

I woke up from the nap,

Realized I have not had sweet corn

At all

This summer.

I figure I must have needed

The sleep

To wake up with sweet corn

On my mind.

Tomorrow begins the search

In the western suburbs.

The old stand closed a year ago

When the field grew monster houses.

Tomorrow we search for

Even though I understand

There are new varieties

To take its place.

Varieties

With less romantic names.
